Nah loh Winblows based! … gimana cara buka-nya nih? … :)

Masih penasaran juga, masa sih para developer linux gak menyediakan aplikasi untuk open atau ekstrak file winmail.dat ini … at last I found  tnef di Linux. ternyata hampir semua distro linux juga menyertakan tnef  ini  pd  setiap repository-nya.  that’s what Im looking for! …. langsung saja saya  install  tnef.

di Ubuntu install tnef hanya dengan command :

sudo apt-get install tnef

command yg ada pd tnef  :

tnef: [options] [FILE]
-f FILE,--file=FILE          use FILE as input ('-' == stdin)
-C DIR, --directory=DIR      unpack files into DIR
-x SIZE --maxsize=SIZE       limit maximum size of extracted archive (bytes)
-t,     --list               list files, do not extract
--list-with-mime-types       list files and mime-types, do not extract
-w,     --interactive        ask for confirmation for every action
--confirmation               same as -w
--overwrite                  Overwrite existing files
--number-backups             Instead of overwriting file FOO,
create FOO.n instead
--use-paths                  Use pathnames for files if found in the TNEF
file (for security reasons paths to included
files are ignored by default)
--save-rtf[=FILE] [DEPRECATED] Save the RTF message body to a file
--save-body[=FILE]           Save the message body to a file
-h,     --help               show this message
-V,     --version            display version and copyright
-v,     --verbose            produce verbose output
--debug                      produce a lot of output

TNEF provides a way to unpack those pesky Microsoft MS-TNEF MIME attachments. It operates like tar in order to unpack any files which may have been put into the MS-TNEF attachment instead of being attached seperately.

Akhirnya simplify …. Not need to always use Winblows, Linux has been able to do it. remember the words, guys!
